Five High End Beauty Products Worth Buying
1. Nars Copacabana Illuminator
I bought this product when I was in Paris a few months ago and I have to say that at first I really didn't like it. I would dot it onto my cheekbones and try and blend it out with my fingers but it would just go blocky (I hope that makes sense...) and I found it to be too pink. It's only been recently that I have started using it again and I've tried different ways of applying it. The way that works for me is by dotting it on my cheekbones and then blending it out with a brush instead of my fingers, once that's done I go over it with a beauty blender just to blend it out a little more. It leaves such a lovely subtle glow that look's so natural. I actually use this product every day now!
2. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel
Okay so this bronzer may be a little pricey at £32, but I think it's worth it! This is my 'special occasion' bronzer for when I want to look naturally tanned and glowy. A lot of people think this is too orange but I don't think it is at all. I always tend to forget that I have this bronzer and then when I use it, I fall in love with it all over again. It's like a solid mousse and for me it seems to glide onto my skin really nicely. I just love it, it suits my skin tone perfectly and it's so buildable too.
This was another purchase while I was in Paris and it's such a nice foundation. It gives medium coverage and gives such a lovely glow. I do think this foundation can be sticky on my oily areas but that's nothing a little powder can't fix!
4. Nars Creamy Concealer
This is my holy grail concealer. I haven't found a concealer that can match the coverage of this one so far, but to be honest, I don't think I'll ever go back to any other concealer after trying this one out. It has such a nice consistency and it covers EVERYTHING! I hate my freckles on my cheeks and forehead and this covers them perfectly, I also like using it under my eyes as I think it makes my eyes look really awake and bright. I definitely think this is the best concealer ever!
5. Smashbox Contour Kit
I'm a massive fan of contouring and I really wanted to get the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit but found it a little pricey and I probably wouldn't use all the colours in it so I figured it'd be a waste. I digress, anyway, while I was in Sephora in Paris I spotted this Smashbox one and thought I'd try it. It has three different powders in it, a cold grey/brown powder, a warm brown powder and an off white powder which, as you can see, has been used a lot! It also comes with an angled brush which was a nice surprise. I think this product is amazing, I love the colour of the powders as they suit my skin tone perfectly and the brush is brilliant too. The powders are so easy to blend so I never worry about putting too much on and looking like a satsuma. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!
